A list of applications for editing video films

The following site contains some applications useful when editing photos, music and films:

GNU GPL freeware licences allow unlimited use of the application. Some features of trial versions are restricted eg. you may not be able to save the video created, the length of the video may be limited or the video may contain a watermark. Competition organizers do not impose you use of a given video editing application.

Music as a background of your video film

You may use any piece of music that is published under a Creative Commons (CC) licence. You must, however, provide the information about the title and the author of the piece of music with the website address you downloaded the music from. This will allow for verification that the piece of music is under a licence permitting its use, eg.:
This video features the song "Desaprendere (Treatment)" by fourstones, available under a Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial license: http://ccmixter.org/media/files/victor/6374
